GENERAL PURPOSE:  Attend to visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face.  Supply information regarding the organization to the general public.
 
GENERAL DUTIES:  Under supervision, greets persons entering organization and assists with the intake process for veterans and/or their dependents seeking to file Department of Veterans Affair’s Claims or Financial Assistance.  Responsible for directing/screening all incoming calls, take and relay messages, and monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.  Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization, issuance of bus passes, receive mail and deliveries, data entry and filing.  Responsible for monitoring and maintaining office equipment, control inventory relevant to reception area, tidy and maintain the reception area. Provides back-up support to other clerical/support areas and must maintain confidentiality of customer data, information, and records.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:    Per Ohio Revised Code, Title 5901.07, must be an honorably discharged veteran or the spouse, surviving spouse, child, or parent of a veteran.  Must have a High School Diploma with minimum two (2) years data entry/office experience.  Ability to provide excellent customer service, maintain professional and respectful relationship with all clients, vendors and co-workers.  Ability to be type 35 WPM, have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, possess good verbal and written communication skills, present a professional personal presentation and be reliable.  Must show attention to detail, initiative, and ability to handle stress tolerance.

About the Opportunity

This is an open position with FirstEnergy Solutions (FES), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FE]

The Supervisor oversees the daily operational activity of the Billing Management & EDI Team. These teams support the functions for the billing and invoicing for FES Retail Operations. The Supervisor ensures that daily operations and controls are running efficiently and smoothly. The Supervisor works directly with the Manager of Billing and Customer Service Controls to assure effective upward communications as well as cross operational business unit coordination.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees daily operations to ensure all retail customers are invoiced and payments are applied accurately, timely and accounted for accordingly
  • Supervises daily EDI processes to ensure all transactions occur accurately and timely.
  • Implements the interpretation of contracts/products into viable billing models using system applications
  • Works with team to develop, implement and perform business related/SOx controls and development of exceptions and metrics
  • Enhance, facilitate and nurture the strategic partnership with IT in support of the billing system, facilitating changes, mass data updates and application changes
  • Assists the manager during the monthly financial close process and helps coordinate the reporting of the Retail Operations financial results
  • Tracks and reports out the overall metrics for operational excellence related to Revenue Management activities
  • Assists in developing the resource capacity planning utilizing strong formula base models as applied to the Revenue Management activities
  • Develops effective working relationships with external vendors
  • Fosters and implements ideas and strategies to improve complex work processes and projects
  • Coordinate the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and variance analysis for Retail Operations
  • Supervise the team in developing and implementing strong procedural documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline required. Advanced degree is helpful.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience required. Relevant work experience will include working knowledge of accounting processes to include budgeting, forecasting, metrics and ability to anayze data.
  • Some supervisory experience and leadership preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Business and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross functionall.

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of the individuals we provide services to. The goal of the DSP is to assist in increasing the independence of the individual within his/her home or community. The DSP should perform daily tasks that assist the individual with daily living needs.  These tasks include, but are not limited to:
  1. Personal hygiene; i.e. bathing, grooming, hair care, oral care, etc.
  2. Bathroom assistance; i.e. assistance with changes, bladder and bowel requirements
  3. Dressing; i.e. assistance putting on or taking off clothes
  4. Eating; i.e. preparing meals, preparing food to be eaten, assistance with eating, etc.
  5. Transfer; i.e. assistance in and out of wheelchairs for daily activities, etc.
  6. Ambulatory needs; i.e. assistance moving around the residence and community
  7. Household services; i.e. cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.

  10. Basic supervision; i.e. assessing, monitoring, and supervising the individual to ensure the individual’s safety, health and welfare

  12. Documentation; i.e. keep documentation logs for ISP services, medication administration, activity logs, fund ledgers, and transportation, etc.
  13. Properly clock in / out for all shifts
  14. Complete documentation for all HPC questions in MITC prior to leaving your shift
  15. Review previous entries and complete entries in the communication log on each shift
  16. Report any unusual incidents to Team Lead / Team Coordinator immediately
  17. Turn in any Employee of the Month nominations
